A UK based energy consultancy is contracted to provide technology and plant design to satisfy Ugandan regulatory authorities and secure the power purchase agreement. 2 sites with connectivity have been identified to generate up to 10MW per hour growing Pink Cedar over a 3 year harvest period. A Uganda electricity company will take the electricity and pay the feed in tariff as per the government outline < $0.09kWh. A 250,000 gbp investment is needed to secure the PPA followed by a year one capital requirement 15m gbp, after which the 10MW PPF is forecast to generate an income of US$6.7m per annum for 20 years.
